Janet(mother)-She has influenced my life as a child by always being there. Weather it was I got hurt or just simply needing her. She always supported me in everything I did. She always came to my dance recitals, sporting events, girl scout events and much more. Anything I was involved in she was there cheering me on. She was a teacher as she took me to her classroom I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. She help me be the best I can be. She helped me all through school even college. When ever I needed help with homework she would help me. Even though she has six children she treated us equally. I did everything with my mom. With everything she did I knew how much she cared about me and support me in everything I did. I know she is still influencing me because she still is doing everything she did when I was a child. She is proof reading my papers, she is very supportive in my job and everything that is happening in my life.
David(father)-Every weekend when I was young my dad had to take me to swim lessons. He would take me and stay there till it was done. After swim lessons we would come home and he would cook me breakfast. When ever I needed help he would be there. I know he still loves and cares about because he helped my husband and me out when we remodeled our home. He was just like this when I was younger help out where ever needed.
I was close to all my siblings. So to choose only three of them is extremely hard.
Mike(brother)-He is the one in the middle. When I was in kindergarten he was in his upper high school years. He only went to school for half of the day. Since he was only in school for half of the day a lot of times he had to pick me up from kindergarten or my babysitters. I remember him picking me up in his Mustang, it was loud. I would be sitting in the car with my hand over my ears. Most days he would take me to a local pizza place or have pizza in the back seat for lunch. Even though he now lives miles away he is still there for me by supporting me in everything I do. He does voice concerns on some of my decision but he is just looking out for what is best for me.
Christine(sister)-She is right of me in the picture above. One of the many memories I have of her and I when I was young was when I went into her room in the morning she would make her legs into a circle. I would sit in the middle of her legs pretending to be in a boat. We would sing and just have fun. She cared about me by hanging out with me, sometimes even when she had friends over. She lives across the country from me but still cares. She is also a teacher. When I need an opinion on our profession I talk to her. I know she cares about me because when she is town she makes sure she sees me as much as possible.
Susan(sister)-Pictured above to the left of me. We grew up very close to each other because we are only two years apart. We shared a room as we were growing up. With that being said I have many memories with each other. One of the cutest one is when we had to clean our room we would shove everything under the bed and in the closet, thinking our mom would not check those spots. I knew she cared about me because when ever we would be in school she would be there if I needed her. She helped me when I started middle school and high school.
Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful in your wedding photos! I really enjoyed reading about the people that influenced your childhood. I especially liked your comments about your older brother because I was also very close to my big bro! What a special bond you two must have shared over pizza and a car ride on a regular basis. :)
Siera
Thanks so much
