"We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing." -Benjamin Franklin
That is one of the many quotes that I love. That is one of the reason I love my job because it keeps me young.

I love all the Pete the Cat books. They teach the children so much. They are easy for preschool children to understand. They love them too! They are always asking for Pete the Cat and singing the song. Check them out!
Story of a Wonderful Child
I currently have a child in my classroom right now. He is one of my most challenging children that I have had. Something about him makes me love him that much more. He is very loving and caring. He lost someone very close to him this year. I think being there for him and talking to him about it has made our relationship as a teacher/student that much stronger.
The children all colored their own hot air balloons to celebrate Dr. Seuss birthday.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS QUOTE!!! We are never too old to "play" and have fun. Our age is just a number and we are what we make of it. There is a saying that I saw recently: you know a good mom when the floors are dirty and laundry is piled up because you are spending time with your children. I have learned as a mom, that sometimes the cleaning and petty things can wait...sometimes the kids just need you!
Yes, I totally agree with you that sometimes the petty things can just wait. At the end of the day your children are more important then anythign
